Yes - You set the encryption level on each backup. WorldBackups.net supports 64 to 448 bit non-reversible encryption.
Your data is encrypted on your server(s) prior to being sent across the Internet to our network. This data remains encrypted at all times on our servers, and can only be accessed with the password you set. Even we cannot access your data without this password.

WorldBackups.net has been built from the ground up with durability in mind. Every subsystem benefits from an N+1 architecture design, meaning it cannot be affected by a single point of failure at any time on our network.
We also replicate your backups to a separate facility within a minute of your backup completing.
Since version 3.5 and SP3 it is possible to retain a local copy of your backed up data on a USB disk, NAS appliance or any directly connected storage. This is in addition to our online service.

Our application is installed on every server or desktop you require backing up. Your backups can be set up and running in under 5 minutes.
You can use any of our agents on your system, these include: Bare Metal Image Backup, Exchange Server Backup, Exchange Mailbox Backup, MSSQL Server Backup, SharePoint Backup, Active Directory/System State Backup, Outlook Backup, VMware Backup, MySQL Server Backup, Block-level Incremental Backup, Open File Backup and External Disk Backup.

You will receive an email after each job has run confirming if your backup has succeeded or failed. In addition the system can be configured to send out a daily 'roll-up' email of the activity on all of your clients.
You can monitor all of your servers from one centrally located Partner portal through your web browser.

As long as you have a basic ADSL connection with an upstream of 250Kbps or more you will be able to use WorldBackups.net.
The deciding factor is how much modified data you require backing up each day.
The easiest way to check if your connection is suitable is to download our FREE 30 day trial and see for yourself.
For large amounts of data we can use our 'local to remote' tool which will encrypt your backed up data locally on your server so it can be moved to a USB disk. We can receive the disk at one of our facilities and copy the data to our service. Your backup will resume and continue as normal. The whole process will take approximately 24 hours.

What can I backup?

WorldBackups.net backs up all Microsoft Server operating systems.
WorldBackups.net backs up all versions of Microsoft Exchange at the mailstore and mailbox level, so you can retrieve an entire Exchange server or even a single email (this includes Exchange 2010).
WorldBackups.net backs up Microsoft SQL 2000, 2005, 2008 and MySQL databases.
WorldBackups.net backs up all Microsoft based desktop operating systems such as Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 2007.
MAC and Linux files can also be backed up if they are stored on a central Windows server.

WorldBackups.net allows you to retain up to 99 versions of live and deleted data; or you can set the retention period to a maximum of 10 years.

You can easily restore any of your data using our restore wizard.

If you have chosen to keep a copy of your backed up data locally and it is intact you can restore from there. If your data is only stored online you can easily restore it through our application.
If you have a lot of data to restore and don’t have the necessary Internet bandwidth we can restore your data to a USB disk at our data centre and courier it to you for a local restore on your premises (your data will remain encrypted until the local restore completes).

We provide unlimited telephone and email support during normal business hours.
We can also remote onto your system to install and support the application.

We also compress your data by up to 90%. Therefore 100GB of data on your network might be stored as 10GB on our servers. We would only charge you for that 10GB stored on our server.
