WorldBackups.net can be deployed in one of two ways.
- Software installation: The client is installed on every server or critical device you require to be backed up. You then create backups as you require.
- Hardware installation - WorldBackups.net server appliance: We will install and configure a HP Proliant server running WorldBackups.net on your site. This will allow you to mirror your entire server infrastructure simultaneously to the appliance and to one of our replication servers online.
- Very easy.... the WorldBackups.net client is installed in a few mouse clicks, and a backup can be configured in a few minutes.
- An installation guide is included in the download executable file.
- A full help manual is embedded in the client offering detailed help for the screen you are on.
- All backups and restores are setup using wizards.
- WorldBackups.net supports all file types in addition to supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server and MySQL.
- You can configure each one of your backups to alert you via email of its status via email. So you’ll always know if your backups are working.
- WorldBackups.net will keep up to 99 versions of any file at any one time. This figure is configurable by you.

- The first backup normally takes a few days to complete, but daily increments should complete in a few hours.
Security
- Yes. You set the encryption level on each backup to include 64 to 448 bit non-reversible encryption.
- All WorldBackups.net data is encrypted on your server(s) prior to being sent across the Internet to our servers. The data remains encrypted on our servers at all times, and can only be accessed with the password you set. WorldBackups.net cannot access your data without this password.
- All of our data and your backups are replicated across ‘fault tolerant’ servers in world-class data centres in the UK.

- We provide an online support ticket portal to all end users and resellers
- You can expect a response from a WorldBackups engineer within two hours.
Account and billing details
- Software installation: 30 days
- Hardware installation - WorldBackups.net server appliance: Because all appliances are leased over 36 months or purchased outright, they cannot be terminated within the 36-month period.
- You will receive an invoice at the end of each month and be invoiced in arrears.

What can I back up?
- Yes. WorldBackups.net supports Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 2003 and 2008. Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2007 are supported at the mailstore and mailbox level, so you can retrieve an entire Exchange server or even a single email. Microsoft SQL 2000, 2005, 2008 and MySQL are also supported.
