  • Your data is encrypted on your server(s) prior to being sent across the Internet to our servers. This data remains encrypted at all times on our servers, and can only be accessed with the password you set. Even we cannot access your data without this password.
  • WorldBackups.net has been built from the ground up with durability in mind. Every subsystem benefits from an N+1 architecture design, meaning it cannot be affected by a single point of failure at any time on our network.
  • We also replicate your backups to a separate data centre within a minute of your backup completing.

Backing up to the WorldBackups.net platform

WorldBackups.net can be deployed in one of two ways.

  • Software Installation - Our application is installed on every server or desktop you require backing up. Your backups can be set up and running in under 5 minutes.
  • Hardware Installation - WorldBackups.net server appliance - We will install and configure a local on-premise server with WorldBackups.net embedded in the OS. This will allow you to mirror your entire server infrastructure simultaneously to this appliance and benefit from LAN speed restores. At the same time your data is replicated to our servers within our data centre.
  • Very easy. The WorldBackups.net client is installed in a few mouse clicks, and a backup can be configured and running in under 5 minutes.
  • A page specific manual is embedded in our software providing detailed help on every screen.
  • All backups and restores are set up using wizards
  • You will receive an email after each job has run confirming if your backup has succeeded or failed.
  • You can monitor all of your servers from one centrally located web browser.
  • As long as you have a basic ADSL connection with an upstream of 250Kbps or more you will be able to use WorldBackups.net.

Restoring from the WorldBackups.net platform

You can simply restore any of your data using our restore wizard.

  • If you have a lot of data to restore and don’t have the necessary Internet bandwidth we can restore your data to a USB disk at our data centre and courier it to you for a local restore on your premises (your data will remain encrypted until the local restore completes).
  • If you have one of our server appliances on your site, you will be able to restore your data locally at LAN speed.

  • We provide unlimited telephone and email support during normal business hours.
  • Once you convert from a trial to a live customer you will have access to our 24 x 7 portal where you can expect a response from a WorldBackups engineer within two hours out of normal business hours.
  • Yes - If you commit to a contract, we can install WorldBackups, net as you require on your server. All contracts have a 30 day termination period.

Account and billing details

  • Yes - The termination period is only 30 days.
  • You will be invoiced in arrears at the end of each month.

Pricing and about WorldBackups.net

  • We only charge for the data you store on our servers. This starts at £0.90 per GB.
  • We don’t ask for a commitment longer than 30 days nor do we sell packages of data that you may not use. You only pay for what you use!
  • We also compress your data by up to 90%. Therefore 100GB of data on your network might be stored as 10GB on our servers. We would only charge you for that 10GB stored on our server.
